The stunning Grade II listed barn has been carefully restored by Deana and Tim to create a versatile and unique space, that retains its wonderful historic character. With a magnificent high vaulted roof, you are going to fall in love with the barn. It is perfect for civil ceremonies, civil partnerships and you will be sure to have a joyful day in beautiful surroundings.
What is the best time of the year to get married at The Oak Barn, Events Venue?
As the recommended caterers, when we meet couples for the first time, we are often asked what’s the best time of year to get married at The Oak Barn. You will be delighted to learn this rustic barn perfectly marries the old with the new and offers you a blank canvas waiting to be transformed any time of the year. In the summer there is air-conditioning and the glass doors, that let the sunshine flood into the barn all year round, can be opened to enable guests to wander out into the courtyard. But, in cooler months or during inclement weather, there is also luxurious underfloor heating and a wood-burning stove, to keep you and your guests cosy on the first night of your married life.
The gardens are naturalistic in style, with terraces softened with waving grasses that create a backdrop to the year-round colour from perennials. Beyond the garden, there are 20 acres that enable you to explore the rolling countryside with your photographer, for those more intimate shots.

Within the 25 acres at Frame Farm, there are two spectacular barns; The Oak Barn and The Byre and in addition, the fabulous accommodation in Weavers Cottages. All have been lovingly restored and modernised and can be hired for your wedding, event (corporate, celebration of life and special occasions), or just to get away for a retreat. And guess what? We are a recommended caterer, and we can’t wait to share your big day or event!
The venue and cottages are all grouped around a traditional, now paved, farmyard, making it easy for your guests. The Weavers Cottages converted from an old weaving house built in 1607, has been beautifully renovated to offer five cottages with contemporary interiors. Weaver’s Cottages features seven double bedrooms and two twin bedrooms and can sleep up to 18 guests.

This classic Barn is incredibly versatile, seating up to 130 people for dinner or it can be used for more intimate weddings or events. We offer a full catering service which can include canapes, formal or informal, grazing and sharing wedding breakfast along with evening food but also cutlery, linen, tea and coffee etc. and by request, we can manage your drinks and help to style your wedding, by working with a team of amazing suppliers to include furniture hire, flowers, cakes etc.
