The Cherry Barn is a very special, traditional oak framed barn located on a 400-acre working sheep and fruit farm, in an area of outstanding beauty, The High Weald.

The Cherry Barn is offered exclusively and is licensed to hold civil ceremonies for up to 150 guests. As an alternative, you can also hold celebrant led blessings in the woodland, under the oak tree, or, only a short walk away, you can say your vows in the Norman Church of St Peter and St Paul dating from around 1070.

With its original beams, The Cherry Barn combines fantastic rustic features with modern luxury elements. The glass-fronted floor to ceiling doors, which fill the wedding venue with natural light, enable you to view the romantic apple orchards and the North Downs beyond. Outside there is a patio for your drinks and canapes reception and in addition, there is a pond with a Japanese-style bridge, perfect for those all-important wedding pictures.

Start the day in The White Room, an extremely versatile space. During the morning preparations, it makes the perfect ‘getting ready’ area. Just check in with your hair and makeup artists. Then afterwards The White Room can be transformed into an entertainment space for your photo booth, casino tables, creche or a chillax room.

In addition, the recently renovated barn has all the modern conveniences, that include disabled access, toilets, licensed bar facilities along with a dance floor.

There is also parking for your guests and on-site accommodation that includes a fully fitted holiday cottage for up to four people, which can also be used for wedding preparations. There is also an open plan, fully fitted apartment, suitable for the wedding suite or other guest accommodation. In addition, The Cherry Barn enables you to set up glamping tents for your guests.

After the winter nothing looks more lovely than the spectacular display of delicate pink and white blossoms on the springtime trees with their fresh light green leaves. This time of the year makes the perfect backdrop for your intimate private shoots after your wedding breakfast when you can stand amongst row upon row of lovingly nurtured apple trees.

Autumn is a beautiful time of year to get married when the blossom has transformed into juicy fruits which the family pick to go into their delicious famous apple juice. In the evening you can extend your day by lighting the firepit on the patio and drink The Cherry Barn’s very own craft cider called, ‘Starvecrow’. Your guest can make a night of it, if encouraged to stay in the glamping zone, under the starlit sky.

There is something truly quite magical about using a beautifully and lovingly converted barn for a romantic winter wedding. Up until recently, The Cherry barn was used to store hay for their flock of Romney Marsh ewes that still live on the farm.
