Currently, the full of charm, spacious Oak Tree Barn is being sympathetically restored and modernized and opens in April 2021 – so get in quick as we know it is going to be popular.
Formerly part of a working farm, once complete, the barn will create an atmosphere that will be both enchanting and romantic. Once licensed for weddings, you will be able to choose to hold your ceremony at the barn in a uniquely designed outdoor ceremony area, followed by your amazing party, enabling you to make the most of every moment of your weekend without travelling between locations.
Your guests will be wowed by the incredible views and there are lots of inspiring places for photo opportunities. The ancient Oak Tree makes the perfect place for your post-ceremony confetti shot followed by canapes and your cocktail hour. With curious and bespoke handmade outdoor seating areas, in the evening the grounds are illuminated with tonnes of fairy lights and lanterns. And for those even more perfect evening shots, there are fire pits, (with the wood supplied as part of your package), where everyone can gather around, huddled under blankets, and toast marshmallows.
For your drinks, currently under renovation, there is the Tipsy Gypsy bar – great name!
There is also accommodation in a 3-bedroom, detached rustic dwelling, Bothy – we are loving the name. Previously used by the farmworkers, Bothies are usually only found in remote mountainous areas of Scotland. Having been lovingly renovated it includes a cosy bridal suite. With solid oak floors, doors, and modern furnishings, it retains much of its original brick flooring in the hall and kitchen and original wall and ceiling beams, which add to the charm and character. And, for your guests, there are five luxury bell tents and hot showers for overnight glamping.
Also, (and we know the bride’s tribe are going to love this), at the Oak Tree Barn, they offer bespoke packages to prepare you for your big day, as there is an on-site beauty salon, bring it on!
